Boris’ Bulletin: Read Across America Wrap Up
Boris’s Family Fun
Spring Break Challenge
If you’re heading somewhere new, or even staying close to home, try one of these:
- Read about a place you’re visiting or want to visit
- Learn how to say “library” or “bookshop” in another language
- At the end of the day, have everyone share a favorite moment and jot it down
Simple moments, big memories.
Did You Know?
The idea of Spring Break started in the U.S. in the 1930s when college swim teams began traveling for training trips.
Q: Where do sheep go for spring break?
A: The Baa-hamas
Did You Know?
Stuttgart is the birthplace of the automobile! Karl Benz invented the first modern car here in 1886.
Another Read Across America month in the books!
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss
Read Across America may be just a day for some, but at RBES we celebrated all month long. Our Bulldogs spent March enjoying books, building literacy skills, and sharing a love of reading across our school.
Of course, we had to end the month in style with Spirit Week.
Monday: Hat Day
Tuesday: Crazy Sock Day
Wednesday: “Wild About Words” Shirt Day
Spirit Week brought the perfect energy to our final days before Spring Break. It was a fun way to celebrate both reading and school spirit together. Photos from the week will be added below.
Whether your family is traveling or staying close to home, we hope this break brings time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time together.
Whether you’re near or far, we wish you a happy, fun, and safe Spring Break.
