Robinson Barracks Elementary Hosts STEM Experience With Brilliant Labs, Stuttgart Elementary

Students at Robinson Barracks Elementary School recently took part in a dynamic, hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) experience through a collaboration with Brilliant Labs, an education organization based in Canada.
The event brought together students from both Robinson Barracks and Stuttgart Elementary School for a day of exploration, creativity and technology-driven learning.
Brilliant Labs is an Atlantic Canada-based charity that offers an experiential learning platform aimed at empowering youth through creativity, innovation and the use of modern technology. The organization aligns its mission with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and promotes an entrepreneurial spirit. Its goal is to inspire change in education curricula throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond.
Fourth and fifth graders from Robinson Barracks participated in a variety of STEM activities led by Brilliant Labs instructors Marc-André Pelletier and Chantal Doiron-Pelletier. Students explored coding, robotics, circuitry and felting, while taking an active role in directing their own learning experiences.
A group of students from Stuttgart Elementary, accompanied by teacher Dara Phillips, also participated in the event. The collaboration encouraged cross-school friendships and highlighted the importance of partnership in education.
The visit from Brilliant Labs emphasized creativity, critical thinking and sustainability — skills seen as essential for the future. The success of the event left students and teachers eager for more opportunities to explore STEM together.
