Principal's Corner

Dear Robinson Barracks Elementary School Community,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Robinson Barracks Elementary School and to join a team of exceptional instructors as we continue to pursue excellence for our school and students. I hope that you and your family have enjoyed the summer recess and are looking forward to returning to school. The school community is eager to start this school year, and I can assure you that staff and I are committed to caring for your children and fostering a student centered learning environment every day.

I have been in the field of education since 2000, spending the majority of my career in Lawton, Oklahoma serving the military connected students of Fort Sill. I was an elementary teacher in grades 3 through 6. In 2008, I had the opportunity to move to Colorado Springs, CO where I taught grades 3 and 5. I moved back to Lawton, OK in 2010 and after teaching for a year, I took on the role of Instructional Math Coach in 2011, serving the district in that capacity for three years. I began my career in administration in 2014 when I accepted the position as an Elementary School Principal in 2014 and served in this role for four years until I accepted a Middle School Assistant Principal role in Wichita Falls, TX in 2018. My experience as a Middle School Assistant Principal was short lived, as I began my career with DoDEA as a Professional Development Specialist with DoDEA Europe Center for Instructional Leadership in October of 2018.

In addition to being an educator, I have a twenty-three year old daughter living in Oklahoma City. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading and being outside hiking, cycling, and enjoying outdoor adventures.

In closing please know that along with the staff at Robinson Barracks Elementary School, I am committed to providing your children a safe place to learn and grown. I am excited to become a member of Stuttgart community and developing and fostering relationships with students, faculty, parents, and the community at large as we work together to create a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

I am looking forward to meeting you!

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month - a time to recognize the importance of communication and to honor the professionals who make it possible for so many students to find their voice. Across the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a vital role in supporting student success, regardless of location, language, or need. Though separated by oceans and time zones, DoDEA SLPs have found a powerful way to stay connected and collaborate through a Microsoft TEAMS group that spans the globe.
