Dear RBES Parents,Â
At RBES, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students above all else. As part of our commitment to creating a conducive learning environment, we have a strict policy regarding dogs on campus. Safety First - Children are naturally curious and may approach dogs, even those they do not know. While we understand that many dogs are friendly, there is always a potential risk involved, especially with unfamiliar animals. To protect our students from bites or other incidents, we ask parents to refrain from bringing dogs onto the school grounds.
Liability Concerns -Schools must consider their legal responsibilities regarding student safety. Allowing dogs on campus can lead to
potential liability issues, which can arise from accidents or injuries. We believe that taking a proactive approach to this matter helps protect our students, staff, and the school community.
Allergies and Sensitivities - We recognize that some students may have allergies or sensitivities to animals. Bringing dogs to the school
could trigger allergic reactions and create discomfort for those affected. By limiting animals on campus, we’re ensuring that all students can thrive in a healthy learning environment. We have seen dogs increasingly on school grounds and need everyone to understand the dangers of having them around. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy or any related matters, please feel free to reach out to the school administration.
