March is National Nutrition Month!
🌼 March is National Nutrition Month, and it's the perfect time to focus on being healthy! This month, we encourage everyone to make nutritious choices and embrace healthy habits. Here are some fun and simple guidelines to help you and your family stay healthy.
🥗 First, eating a variety of foods is essential. Be sure to include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and dairy in your meals. Aiming for a rainbow of colors on your plate will help you get different nutrients! Additionally, pay attention to portion control to avoid overeating. Using smaller plates and bowls can assist in managing portions. Remember to listen to your body—eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. Staying hydrated is also crucial, so drink at least 8 cups of water daily. 💧 It's best to limit sugary drinks like soda and juice, opting instead for water or milk.
🏃♂️ Next, let’s focus on being active! Aim for at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day. Finding activities you enjoy, such as biking, dancing, or playing sports, can make exercise fun! 🎉 Remember to take breaks from screens and spend time outside. Planning active family outings, like hiking or playing games in the park, encourages everyone to participate. Cooking healthy meals together can also strengthen family bonds while making nutritious choices. 🍽️
😄 Mental health is equally important! Practice mindfulness or deep breathing 🧘♂️ to reduce stress; even just a few minutes each day can be beneficial. Encourage everyone to express their feelings through talking, drawing, or writing to promote a supportive environment. Additionally, ensure that your child gets enough sleep—aim for 9-11 hours each night for elementary-aged children. 💤 Establishing a relaxing bedtime routine can help everyone wind down and get a good night’s rest.
As a fun fact of the month, did you know that eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables not only makes your food look appealing but also provides your body with essential vitamins and minerals? 🥭🥦 Try making a colorful salad or smoothie this month!
Together, let’s make nutrition and health a priority! We hope you find these guidelines helpful for your family. Stay healthy, active, and happy!

Read Across Robinson
Students from PK-5th grade had an exciting day during our annual Read Around Robinson event! They traveled to different classrooms where teachers and community members read stories, sparking imagination and a love for reading. Thank you to COL Alexander, CSM Melendez, and Brian Pappas for coming out to support the event.

In Host Nation class, the children celebrated Fasching, a vibrant and joyous festival marking the start of Lent. Dressed in their colorful maks the students played games, danced, and enjoyed celebrating. The students created a memorable experience that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Fasching.

Thanks to the PTSA for all their help with the Blue Ribbon Celebration, Read Across America Month, the recent dance, STEM activities, and many other activities they have sponsored this year.

4th Grade Living Museum
Fourth graders wowed everyone with their Living Museum! Each student chose a person to research, created a trifold display, and dressed up as their important figure to bring them to life. From figures in ancient history, to those from modern times, from sports heroes to war heroes, our students did an outstanding job! Their hard work and enthusiasm truly shined as they shared their knowledge and passion for this project. Great job fourth grade!
